VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers play an integral part in the running of Everybody's Theatre. Contributing time, skills, enthusiasm, and passion in serving a variety of roles:  Full Induction and training for both positions are given.   Please note that Annual Fire Training is compulsory.

  • Manager on Duty - Entails a long-term commitment, and all Managers on Duty will be trained as Cashiers first.  Manager on Duty is responsible for opening and closing the Theatre and ensuring the smooth running of the screening, also assisting the Cashier in all duties. 
  • Cashier - serves customers with tickets and shop sales
  • Both Managers on Duty and the Cashier are responsible for working together for set-up, reconcilation of takings,  restocking the shop, and the end-of-session cleaning. 

All Volunteers need to arrive 45 minutes prior to the screening they are rostered for, and doors open 1/2 hour prior to screening time, so you need to be ready for patrons. We have screenings Fri-Sun 7pm and Sat-Sun 1pm.

Key Attributes:

  • Minimum of 1-2 sessions a month
  • Must be reliable
  • Friendly demeanor
  • Good time management
  • Cash handling skills

Volunteering is a commitment. We would love to have you on board.  While training at least twice a month and after training twice a month is also recommended.   

I understand that I will be handling money on behalf of the Trust, therefore I am happy to provide a character reference.
